Remember when we talked about FERPA in the last module? This is how you can grant others access to view your FERPA-protected records. A proxy can also pay bills on your behalf.

  1. Log into MyHive.
  2. Click your name at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select “View/Add Proxy Access.”
  4. From the dropdown that says “Select a proxy,” click on “Add Another User.”
  5. Fill out your proxy’s information, including name, contact details, and relationship to you.
  6. Specify what areas of access you are granting. You can also select “Allow Complete Access” for full permission.
  7. Review the Disclosure Agreement, check the “authorize” box, and then click “Submit.”

You can change proxy access at any time by going to “Active Proxies” and clicking the pen icon to edit.

📣‼️ IMPORTANT:

Once your proxy is registered, they will receive a confirmation email. This may take several hours. Once granted access, they will receive another email prompting them to finish setting up their account.
