Module 3: Money Matters

Working on Campus

Through our Student Employment Program, you can earn work experience and get paid by working in one of our offices, dining services, groundskeeping, athletics, or other areas across campus. This lesson will teach you about student employment opportunities and where to apply for them.

There are two main types of student employment available on the University of Lynchburg’s campus:

  • Federal Work-Study: A federally funded program for students demonstrating financial need. To apply, you must complete the FAFSA to determine your eligibility.
  • Institutional Work-Study: A program funded by the University. Eligibility is based on academic performance.

Both work-study programs are paid bi-weekly.
